Planning pre-application meeting


  • If you wish to discuss a development you may be considering, it is recommended that you arrange a pre-application meeting.

    To enable a comprehensive pre-application assessment, it is advisable that you provide the following:

    • Proposed Plans
    • Photos of site and surrounds and any supporting reports (if available)

    Once this form had been submitted a staff member will be in touch to confirm your appointment.

    In most instances, planning permit applicants who attend pre-application meetings experience few delays in the processing of their application.

    To enable a comprehensive pre-application assessment, it is advisable that you provide the following:

    The personal information on this form is collected by Swan Hill Rural City Council (Responsible Authority) for the purpose of considering your application under the Planning & Environment Act 1987 (the Act).

    If you do not provide the specified information, Council will not be able to consider your application. Your application will be available at the council office for any person to inspect and copies will may be made available on request to any person for the relevant period set out in the Act.

    You must not submit any personal information or copyrighted material of third parties without their consent. By submitting the material, you agree that the use of the material as detailed above does not breach any third party's right to privacy and copyright.

    Personal information includes:

    • A third party's opinion about the planning application or related issue
    • Photographs of a third party or their property
    • The name, address or contact of any third party
